| ANNOUNCEMENTS AS OF SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 Submit announcements & events to: [email protected] –Men, there is a sign-up list on the main bulletin board in the foyer for lawn care during the 2024 season. –Ladies, several volunteers are needed to prepare the bread and fruit of the vine for the Lord’s Supper throughout 2023. Please see the sign-up list on the ladies’ bulletin board in the hallway. –Singing Class meets after services each Sunday evening. Let’s enrich our singing worship to God by not only becoming better at singing our current songs but learn new songs as well! -Compassion Cards will be written and addressed following evening worship. See Don Deitrick for information on how to participate in this good work. ~ ALL EVENTS ARE LISTED ON THE EVENTS CALENDAR ~ ** EVENTS HAPPENING HERE AT CENTRAL ** -September 17: Ladies’ Night Out @ 6pm meeting at Olive Garden on Foxcroft Ave. for dinner together. -September 19: Morning Ladies’ Class @ 10am in the multi-purpose room. The class will be studying “Intriguing Men of the Bible.” This is a multi-week class. -September 19: Evening Ladies’ Class @ 7pm in the cottage. The class will be using Becky Blackmon’s book, “The Begging Place.” This is a multi-week class. -September 21: Bridging the Gap Seniors/Kids Breakfast at 10am in multi-purpose room. -September 22: Ladies Meeting following evening worship in the auditorium. This will be to finalize details for the meals the weekend of the fall seminar. -September 29: 5th Sunday Singing during PM worship. A request board will be in foyer to submit songs for the service. -October 5-6: Fall Seminar “Overcoming the Blues: The Christian and Strong Mental Health” -October 11: Hayride/Campfire/Devotional at the home of Bob & Marvina Veil beginning at 6:30pm. -October 25: Pumpkin carving at the Anderson’s home from 7pm-9pm. See Chason or Elizabeth for more details. -November 2: Winter Clothing Giveaway 9am-noon at the church building. There will be an announcement made when donations will begin being accepted for this giveaway. ***EVENTS HAPPENING AWAY FROM CENTRAL*** -October 6-9: Fall Gospel Meeting at the Berkeley Springs church of Christ with guest speaker Bob Vincent. Sunday evening worship will be at 6pm and Monday-Wednesday assemblies will be at 7pm. -October 19: Ladies Day at the Purcellville church of Christ with registration beginning at 9am.
