Highlighting Our Bible School (6)

Highlighting Our Bible School (6)

by Robert C. Veil, Jr.

We have some amazing students and teachers in our Bible school program. From time to
time we highlight them in the Bulletin so that we can give them the support and encouragement
they need. Please take a few moments and read about them, and then speak with them! If you
would like to help with the Bible school program, please speak with Mark Norris, our deacon who
assists with this area of the work.

Our featured Bible Class teacher is Chason Anderson, who has taught the High School
class for about 2 years. Chason says the reason he teaches is “because I want students to know
they’re not alone, and that others have faced similar challenges.” He adds that his goal is “to help
them rely on Christ and build stronger connections with him and each other, so they do not conform
to this world of social media isolation.” Chason’s favorite Bible passages are Deuteronomy 6:6-7:
“And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; and thou shalt teach
them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when
thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up,” and Joel 1:3: “Tell
ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another
generation.” In his spare time, Chason enjoys board games, and spending time with family and
friends.

Hannah Taylor is 13 years old, and a member of the Middle School class. Her
parents are Jason and Elizabeth Taylor. She enjoys volleyball, making bracelets, and spending
time with friends and family. Her favorite Bible story is Lydia baptized at Philippi.

Josiah White is 17 years old, and a member of the High School class. His parents are Mike and
Joy White. He enjoys building things, playing piano, drawing, writing stories and playing
Beyblade X. His favorite Bible subject is the flood and its effects.

Our Bible school students regularly study God’s word on Sunday mornings and
Wednesday evenings. Parents, if your children are not currently involved in the Bible school,
please consider enrolling them immediately. Classes for all ages meet Sunday mornings at 9:45,
and Wednesday evenings at 7 o’clock. See the screen announcements for a directory of
classrooms and classes.
